Join our highly sought-after two-day woodturning course to create a traditional German Nutcracker. This project-oriented workshop provides step-by-step instructions on crafting each component and assembling your nutcracker. While the primary focus is on nutcracker creation, the course covers a wide range of work-holding solutions, along with valuable tips and tricks to enhance your turning experience. Learn techniques such as lathe drilling, the use of push plates, and airbrushing. This engaging course not only imparts essential skills but also delves into the history of these enchanting figures. By the end, not only will you have crafted your own German Nutcracker, but you'll also possess the skills to continue making these magical little figures in your home workshop. The classroom provides individual lathes, complete sets of turning tools, safety gear, and all necessary materials for each student. Located in a well-lit and spacious workshop on a thriving farm shop site, it offers a refreshing environment with opportunities for retail therapy during breaks from turning.

Lunch is provided onsite at the farm shops Wonderfull super cosy restaurant 


We provide safety visors and a soft dust mask but feel free to bring your own safety gear. Wear appropriate shoes; no open sandals, deck shoes, or flip-flops. Please inform us of any medical conditions for emergency preparedness.


  • Deposit required on signup and balance paid on arrival

  • No refunds are given if you withdraw 6 weeks or less prior to course 

  • If you withdraw up to 2 months before a class, you may apply this amount to future class' within six months of your cancelled class date.

  • Exceptions will be handled on a case-by-case basis
