Service Description

Join my two-day German Smoker woodturning course, where you'll be guided through the creation of a traditional German Smoking figure, also known as Rauchermann. This project-driven course emphasises hands-on learning, providing detailed instructions on crafting all components and assembling your unique smoker. Beyond creating the smoker, the course offers extensive insights into work-holding solutions, valuable tips, and tricks to enhance your woodturning experience. You'll learn techniques such as lathe drilling, using push plates, and airbrushing. Not only will you take home your very own smoker, but also all the skills to make many more smokers in the future. The classroom provides individual lathes, complete sets of turning tools, safety gear, and all necessary materials for each student. Located in a well-lit and spacious workshop on a thriving farm shop site, it offers a refreshing environment with opportunities for retail therapy during breaks from turning.

Lunch is provided onsite at the farm shops Wonderfull super cosy restaurant 


We provide safety visors and a soft dust mask but feel free to bring your own safety gear. Wear appropriate shoes; no open sandals, deck shoes, or flip-flops. Please inform us of any medical conditions for emergency preparedness.


  • Deposit required on signup and balance paid on arrival

  • No refunds are given if you withdraw 6 weeks or less prior to course 

  • If you withdraw up to 2 months before a class, you may apply this amount to future class' within six months of your cancelled class date.

  • Exceptions will be handled on a case-by-case basis
