Service Description

This two-day woodturning course is ideal for turners looking to expand their spindle and project-based turning skills. 

Students will produce a matching pair (if desired) of salt and pepper grinders using the Woodcut Mill Drill system. The course covers mill drill setup, safe drilling techniques, and best practices for accurate and consistent results. You'll explore timber selection, grain orientation, and the most suitable finishes for different woods—essential knowledge for producing durable and food-safe items. Design and proportion will be discussed in detail, with time set aside for experimenting with both classic and contemporary forms. By the end of the course, students will have completed two fully functional grinders and gained the confidence to reproduce them independently.
